GLS Parcel Shop – How It WorksUpdated 2 months ago
GLS offers the option to have your package delivered to a GLS Parcel Shop or pickup point instead of your home address. This is a convenient solution if you are not available at the time of delivery. The GLS Parcel Shop network is available across many European countries, making it easy to collect your package nearby.
Here is how it works:
If the courier cannot deliver the package to the provided address, the shipment may be redirected to a nearby GLS Parcel Shop.
GLS will send you a notification by email or SMS informing you that your package is ready for pickup.
The notification includes the exact address of the pickup point and the collection deadline.
To collect your package, simply visit the GLS Parcel Shop and present the pickup code or tracking number, and if required, a valid ID.
GLS Parcel Shops are usually located in local stores, service points, or parcel lockers, allowing you to pick up your package at a time that suits you.
Please note that packages are typically stored for up to 5 working days across Europe. If the parcel is not collected within this time, it may be returned to the sender. Therefore, we recommend collecting your package as soon as possible after receiving the notification.
